A space for pop ups and events

Insert Chef Here is an experiment by longtime Nashvile chef Jeremy Barlow, formerly of tayst, Sloco, and The Meet Room. A strong desire to keep cooking for people minus the hours required to run a full time restaurant combined with a failed attempt at fully retiring from the restaurant business became the impetus for Insert Chef Here. Following the 'we work' model for shared space ICH is a place for chefs, young or old, to pop up for single evenings or for a short residency to showcase what they can do, experiment with brick and mortar, or just get back in the game for fun. We are also a great spot to hold events. We can even connect you with a chef of your choice or cook for you ourselves.

Housed right on busy 12S we draw from the huge amounts of foot traffic on the street. But, being the former home of Sloco and The Meet Room, the neighborhood watering hole, we also have a great connection to our neighbors.  It's the best of both worlds. 

Events are constantly being added. Below is a list of upcoming lunches and dinners.

We diligently clean and sanitize regularly as well as wear masks during service. So far we have been fortunate to remain a To Go venue only with the patio available for eating and drinking. We require masks at all times, except while consuming, and to stay as socially distanced as possible.

With the weather changing it is our goal to continue this style of operation until it is no longer possible. We have arranged our dining for use when that day comes. When we do utilize indoors it could be just for ordering and receiving food but not for use. Please be understanding as we navigate these new challenges.
